Our Strategic Priorities
Our Strategic Priorities
The Bryan Blossom Foundation is guided by the belief that nutrition is the foundation of all wellness.
The following three strategic priority areas were created based on this belief,
and the belief that achieving these goals will lead to improved health for all.
Increased practitioner use of nutritional science and integrative/functional medicine.
We will:
- Support and expand integrative medical training programs that educate practitioners about nutrition and other integrative medicine tools so that more practitioners are available to support more patients.
- Support the training of health and cancer coaches that help to guide patients in creating plans to restore their health.
Provide scholarships for students to attend naturopathic school to give access to more people wanting to enter the field of naturopathic/integrative medicine.
- Support apprenticeships for some of the leading minds in integrative medicine to help carry on their wisdom so that more patients can benefit from that wisdom for generations to come.
Increased number of people using nutritional science and integrative/functional medicine to prevent and treat chronic illness.
We will:
- Assist individuals struggling with chronic illness by providing them with nutritious, healing food.
- Support organizations that provide nutrition and integrative medicine education to patients.
- Support efforts that teach people to cook with healthy ingredients so they have the knowledge and tools to take with them to the grocery store and into their kitchens.
- Create Patient Aid Funds at integrative/functional medicine provider offices. These Funds will provide financial assistance to people with chronic disease seeking integrative medical care. This can include assistance with treatments not covered by insurance, provider consultations not covered by insurance, and/or health coaching services.
More organically grown, nutrient-dense food using regenerative farming practices.
We will:
- Support training programs that educate farmers about regenerative farming practices.
- Provide grants to help farmers transition to organic, regenerative farming practices.
- Encourage individuals to grow their own food, including helping to start and simplify home composting.
